Israel Machane
Bnei Akiva Israel Machane is an experience of a lifetime that you’ll never forget – it’s more than just a tour. This year it will take place from 16th July - 9th August 2012 (subject to confirmation).
It’s a unique camp where you’ll see new sights and places, make lots of new friends, see Israel like never before and have the time of your life!
This isn’t just a tour – it’s Israel Machane – and as you’d expect from Bnei Akiva, there’s loads to learn. Even when you don’t realise it, you’ll be soaking up more than just the sun.
Here’s a glimpse of where you’ll be going and what you’ll be doing…
Jerusalem
You’ll spend time in the Holy City visiting important sites, ancient and modern – from the Old City to Yad Vashem, Har Herzl and more. You’ll tour Jerusalem and experience the diversity of Israel, encountering some of the capital’s residents.
Tel Aviv
Israel’s bustling metropolis, Tel Aviv was the birthplace of the modern Jewish state. You’ll see the Hall of Independence, Rabin Square and the rest of the busy city.
The South
Float on the Dead Sea, climb Masada, experience spirituality in the Negev desert and take in the beautiful scenery of Ein Gedi. New for this year, we will be spending two fun packed days in Eilat with snorkelling and water sports! The south of Israel will take your breath away!
The North
Go to the northern border of Israel, visit the beautiful Galil and learn about the political situation in Israel. You’ll go on a boat ride on the Kinneret, discover the mystical secrets of Tzfat, splash your way through water tiyullim, and spend time on a kibbutz.

Caves, tunnels, swimming, museums, special guests, tochniot, shabbatot, peulot, climbs, nights out…
The Desert Experience is one of the highlights of Israel Machane, where you’ll abseil, hike, cycle and sleep under the stars – all under professional supervision.
Plus, you’ll enjoy the unique camp atmosphere in Israel on group weekends and you’ll get to meet Israelis on a hospitality Shabbat in a real Israeli community.
